| |  | To meet the very latest emission standard EU4 manufacturers have started using Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) to trap the particulate matter within the exhaust system. The image to the left gives an indication as to the efficiency of these DPF units. The jar being held represents the volume of particulate matter vented over an 80,000 Km period with DPF fitted to a Peugeot 607.
