Product Description

The Mobilgrease Moly 50, 50 Arctic, 51 and 52 are high performance 5% Moly  molybdenum disulfide greases specifically designed for the lubrication of off-highway equipment. They are lithium complex soap greases having excellent extreme pressure and anti-wear properties. These greases have unusually good staying power under extreme operating conditions and have especially good water washout, spray-off and extended service capabilities. These heavy-duty service greases exhibit excellent structural and chemical stability. They will not corrode steel or copper bearing alloys and are compatible with all conventional sealing materials.

Mobilgrease Moly 50, 51 and 52 were developed especially for their superior performance in bucket pins, pivot pins, heavily loaded chassis components. Mobilgrease Moly 50 and 50 Arctic are is especially suited for heavy equipment central lubrication systems requiring an NLGI 0 Grade grease. Mobilgrease Moly 50 and Moly 50 Arctic are is recommended for central lubrication systems found on Caterpillar and other manufacturers’ off-highway equipment. Mobilgrease Moly 50 Arctic exhibits good dispensibility down to - 30 C (-22 F). Mobilgrease Moly 51 is an NLGI No. 1 Grade with very good low temperature pumpability developed for use in colder temperatures. Mobilgrease Moly 52 is an NLGI No. 2 grease for use as a general-purpose chassis lube.

Features and Benefits

Mobilgrease Moly 50, Moly 50 Arctic,  51 and 52 greases are leading members of the Mobilgrease brand of products, which has gained a worldwide reputation for innovation and performance excellence. Mobilgrease Moly 50, 51 and 52 grease products are designed by ExxonMobil formulation technologists and backed by our worldwide technical support staff.
Mobilgrease Moly 50, Moly 50 Arctic, 51 and 52 greases were designed specifically to meet the needs of off-highway equipment that required superior EP/antiwear performance and which would remain in place even in tough conditions of water spray, high sliding and high temperatures. These greases offer the following features and potential benefits:

Features

Advantages and Potential Benefits
Excellent EP and antiwear propertiesSuperb equipment protection and potential equipment life extension even in severe operating conditions
High level of molybdenum disulphideOptimum equipment protection in high sliding mechanisms and with extended re-lubrication intervals
Very good resistance to water washout and spray-offEnsures proper lubrication and protection even in hostile work environments
Very good low temperature pumpability and centralised system capability (Mobilgrease Moly 50 and 51)Provides excellent start-up performance, a key feature for remote applications

Applications

Mobilgrease Moly 50, Moly 50 Arctic, 51 and 52 greases are recommended for severe off-highway applications in terms of operational severity and water spray.  Specific applications include:
