HIGH PERFORMANCE OPEN GEAR LUBRICANT

Product Description

GEARGARD™ is a high performance, semi synthetic lubricant designed for use on open gears in grinding mills (Rod, Ball and SAG mills). GEARGARD is formulated with a high flash point non-chlorinated diluent to facilitate dispensing through typical mill auto-greasing systems. After application, the solvent is designed to evaporate, leaving an adhesive and cohesive high-viscosity lubricating film. GEARGARD contains additives that provide potent extreme-pressure (EP) protection and excellent rust and corrosion prevention characteristics.

Features and Benefits

GEARGARD is designed with the following special features:

•  Adhesive lubricant fortified with high viscosity synthetics

•  Potent EP properties and excellent rust protection

•  Excellent scuffing and scoring protection as demonstrated by the 13+ FZG load stage

•  Contains a solvent to facilitate application

•  Provides a robust high viscosity film on the metal surface

•  Designed to flow freely from gear guards

Applications

GEARGARD can be mopped, poured, dripped or sprayed onto the points to be lubricated.
