What are the important parameters for oil analysis of Mobilect™ 39 or other transformer oils?
Dielectric strength is a key test for transformer oils, whose primary purpose is to prevent current leakage or arcing within the transformer. Users should also perform Neutralization Number (NN) and Total Acid Number (TAN) tests, as well as tests for water content and sediment/solids contamination by Ultra-Centrifuge (UC) or percent weight on membrane patch. These tests determine the condition of the oil and its suitability for continued use.
