Product Description
Mobil Delvac™ Mining 15W-40 is a high performance diesel engine oil that is specifically designed for lubrication of heavy duty diesel engines in the mining industry. This product meets the specifications of many major European and American engine manufacturers. As a result, Mobil Delvac Mining 15W-40 is recommended for use in a wide range of heavy-duty applications and operating environments found in the mining industry, but it can also be used in construction, forestry, on-road transport and agricultural applications.
The advanced chemistry of this product provides outstanding performance in both modern and older diesel engines operating on low or high sulphur fuel.
Features and Benefits
Tighter engine designs reduce oil consumption, resulting in less fresh oil make-up to replenish depleted additives. Top piston fire rings are located higher on the piston bringing the oil film closer to the combustion chamber where higher temperatures increase thermal stress on the lubricant. Increased fuel injector pressure and retarded ignition timing improve fuel burn efficiency, but also increase engine temperatures. Mobil Delvac Mining 15W-40 is formulated to provide optimum engine performance in modern diesel engines as well as older models with increased soot loads.
