Product Description

Mobil Delvac Super DH-2 10W-30 and 15W-40 are high performance, heavy duty engine oils that provide proven protection to diesel engines operating in severe on -highway applications using low sulfur fuel.  Mobil Delvac Super DH-2 10W-30 and 15W-40 are designed to meet the most rigorous demands of today's high output, low-emission vehicles including those with Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), Diesel Particulate Filter (DPR) and catalytic converters, as well as older models.

Mobil Delvac Super DH-2 10W-30 and 15W-40 employ high quality base stocks and an advanced additive system to prevent excessive oil thickening caused by the high soot levels in today's low emissions engines. Mobil Delvac Super DH-2 10W-30 and 15W-40 also provide exceptional resistance to oxidation, corrosion, wear and high temperature deposits.   The well balanced additive system reduces the possibility of filter plugging which can cause exhaust system backpressure, power loss and a reduction in fuel efficiency.

Features and Benefits

In order to reduce exhaust emissions from diesel fueled vehicles, various technologies have been employed in the areas of engine design, fuel composition and engine oil chemistry.  Higher fuel injection pressures, turbocharger and EGR technology are used to optimise combustion control, minimising exhaust emissions.  In addition after treatment systems comprising both a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) and a  Catalytic Converter are used to further reduce Particulate Matter.  Because of these engine and after treatment technologies the demands on the engine lubricant are significantly increased.  Mobil Delvac Super DH-2 10W-30 and 15W-40 are designed to provide optimum engine and DPF maintenance intervals.
