Coolant Concentrate

Product Description

Mobil Delvac Modern™ Coolant Hydro Protection Concentrate is a water-based corrosion inhibitor concentrate based on Organic corrosion inhibitor Additive Technology (OAT) chemistry. It is suitable for use in stationary engines in power generation, marine and automotive applications where glycol-based antifreeze is not required.

ExxonMobil recommends that the concentrate be used at 7.5% treat rate in water (7.5% Concentrate 92.5% Water) The concentrate can be used up to concentrations of 10% treat rate (10% Concentrate 90%  Water) where extreme corrosion protection is required, but it is not recommended that this treat rate be exceeded.

Features and Benefits

Recommended maximum service life based on 7.5% treat rate in water (7.5% Concentrate 92.5% Water):

Heavy Duty Diesel On-Road 650,000 km
Heavy Duty Diesel Off-Road  8,000 hours
Stationary Power Generation and Marine Engines  32,000 hours

It is recommended to change the coolant every five years or when above mileages/operating times are reached, whichever comes first.

Features

Advantages and Potential Benefits

Complete cooling system protection.

The OAT inhibitor provides corrosion protection for aluminium, iron, steel, copper solder alloys and a wide range of other engine and cooling system metals. The corrosion inhibitor is effective at preventing wet liner cavitation erosion.

Long service life.

The very low depletion rate of the OAT inhibitor ensures long-term corrosion protection under all operating conditions.

Reduced maintenance.

With proper top-up practices regular use of testing and supplemental coolant additives is avoided.

Applications

• Automotive Engine cooling systems

• Engines in construction, earthmoving, mining and quarrying equipment cooling systems

• Marine engines

• Stationary power generation engines

• Where no antifreeze performance is required

Mobil Delvac Modern Coolant Hydro Protection Concentrate is to be diluted with water prior to use.  For optimal performance and controlled quality, the use of deionised or distilled water for dilution is recommended.
