Applications

Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 carries recommendations for a wide range of passenger cars, SUVs and light vans. It is designed for modern high efficiency gasoline, diesel and hybrid cars from Porsche, BMW, Volkswagen, Opel and Mercedes-Benz as well as for Japanese and Korean vehicles that specifically call for a SAE 5W-30 viscosity grade and any of the specifications the oil supports, allowing for extended oil change intervals where recommended by the manufacturer.

 

• Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 is a low ash (mid SAPS) engine oil to help protect exhaust gas after-treatment systems designed to limit engine emissions. It fully meets or exceeds ACEA C3 industry standard and is suitable for the operation and protection of engines and after-treatment systems of vehicles calling for ACEA C2. However it only provides the fuel economy potential required by the C3 and not the C2 classification.

 

• Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 meets or exceeds the requirements of 'API SP' industry standard therefore helping address LSPI (Low Speed Pre-Ignition) and making it a preferred choice for modern downsized direct injection turbocharged gasoline engines.

 

 • Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 is especially suitable for extreme conditions where conventional oil often may not perform.

 

 • Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 is not recommended for 2-Cycle or aviation engines, unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.
