Mobil™ Slideway Oil Ultra are high-quality slideway lubricants specifically designed for the lubrication of linear motion guides, ball screws and slideways of high precision machine tools and metal processing machines. In particular, Mobil Slideway Oil Ultra demonstrate exceptional friction performance and coolant separability.


Mobil™ Slideway Oil Ultra are carefully formulated from high-quality base stocks and the latest advanced additive system that provides controlled frictional properties for high precision machining, compatibility with aqueous metal working fluids and corrosion protection of parts and equipment. The unique additive package provides excellent frictional properties on a wide variety of way materials, including steel on steel and steel on polymer, reducing stick-slip and chatter. This allows smooth, uniform motion at design travel speeds enhancing machine productivity and very high accuracy helping to prolong tool life and enhance surface finish. Mobil Slideway Oil Ultra have also been optimized to provide separability from many aqueous coolants.

Mobil Slideway Oil Ultra have been developed with adhesiveness which prevents lubricants from being washed away from slideways. Lubricant wash-away by coolant can be responsible for abnormal noises, increase in sliding resistance, overload of sliding motors stopping operations and decrease in machining accuracy.  Mobil Slideway Oil Ultra can help prevent these disturbances, even in applications with high-levels of coolant wash-away effect.


Mobil Slideway Oil Ultra demonstrate outstanding separability from coolants which allows the machine tool to operate with high precision and help maximize the life and performance of coolants.


In addition, Mobil Slideway Oil Ultra have been tested and optimized for compatibility with Mobil Vactra™ Oil Numbered Series.

Mobil Slideway Oil Ultra are recommended for the lubrication of machine tool slideway systems. They are designed for use with combinations of cast iron, steel and non-metallic way materials. Mobil Slideway Oil Ultra may be applied by hand, forced-feed lubricator or in flood application by circulation system.


     •  Recommended for horizontal slideways on small to medium size machine tools in high precision applications. It is also suitable for circulating application in large machines and as a moderate duty hydraulic fluid.


     •  Can be used for lubrication of ball screws, linear guides, headstocks, translating screws.


     •  Recommended for applications where oil contamination of the aqueous coolants shortens coolant batch life.
