The free handbook covers almost every aspect of an injection moulding plant, from how to create an ‘energy fingerprint’ to using high performance hydraulic oils.

It also explains the types of potential savings to be made, including:

  • Fitting insulation to barrel heaters - to cut heating costs by up to 50%.
  • Reducing compressed air leaks, dropping pressures and improving pipework - to reduce compressor energy consumption by up to 50%.
  • Switching to a high performance hydraulic fluid, such as Mobil DTE 10 Excel™, can increase hydraulic efficiency by 6%*

*Energy efficiency relates solely to fluid performance when compared with conventional reference oils of the same viscosity grade in hydraulic applications. The technology used is able to achieve up to 6 per cent efficiency compared with the reference when tested in a hydraulic system under controlled conditions. Efficiency improvements vary based on operating conditions and application.
