Applications

• Mobil 1 motor oils are recommended by ExxonMobil for all types of modern gasoline-powered vehicles, including high-performance turbocharged, supercharged, multi-valve fuel injected engines found in passenger cars, SUVs, light vans and light trucks.
• Mobil 1 is not recommended for 2-Cycle or aviation engines, unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.
• If your vehicle is covered by a warranty, follow the vehicle's oil life sensor or the oil change interval recommended in your owner's manual. Proper maintenance practices, including frequently checking the oil level to ensure that the appropriate amount of oil is present, are required to ensure effective performance.
• Always check your owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommended oil viscosity grade, API service classification and any builder approval.

Will the use of Mobil 1™ void my new car warranty?

With the exception of the Mazda rotary engine (Mazda does not recommend any synthetic oils), Mobil 1 will not void new‐car warranties where an American Petroleum Institute (API) certified oil is recommended. Mobil 1 meets or exceeds API and International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) motor oil service requirements of all new‐car manufacturers, both import and domestic. If in doubt, always check your vehicle owner's manual or contact the vehicle manufacturer.

Why do you recommend 0W-30 as an alternative to 10W-30 when my car manufacturer recommends 10W-30?

Mobil 1™ 0W‐30 Advanced Fuel Economy meets or exceeds many new‐car warranty requirements where SAE 0W‐30, 5W‐30 or 10W‐30 oil is recommended. Mobil 1™ 0W‐30 Advanced Fuel Economy provides the high‐temperature protection of 5W‐30 and 10W‐30 oils while offering improved fuel economy. As a result, many consumers can benefit from improved fuel economy while obtaining outstanding engine protection for their vehicles.

If the maker of my car recommends I use 10W-30 motor oil, will I void my warranty if I use 0W-30 instead?

If your car maker recommends SAE 10W‐30 ILSAC oil, we recommend either Mobil 1™ 10W‐30, Mobil 1™ 5W‐30, or Mobil 1™ 0W‐30 Advanced Fuel Economy, which offers the high‐temperature protection of 10W‐30 or 5W‐30 oils while offering improved fuel economy. Rated 5 out of 5 by FlyRC1958 from Cheap Insurance I've been using Mobil 1 since the early 90's in literally EVERY engine I have from trucks,cars , muscle cars tractors, riding mowers down to the snow blowers which are both 25+ years old. Only one oil to buy and the engines just last. I consider it cheap insurance. I even have a JD 316 rider mower made in the 80's and still has 130# compression each cylinder and still going strong.

As a diesel tech with over 20 years experience and having been born and raised in the trucking industry, I've seen many things. Everything that I've ever worked on which ran Mobil products faired far better than other brands. This is why I trust Mobil and use nothing but.
