Helps provide exceptional cleaning power, wear protection and overall performance

Mobil 1™ ESP Formula 0W-40 full synthetic motor oil is designed to help provide exceptional cleaning power, wear protection and overall performance. Mobil 1 ESP Formula 0W-40 motor oil is expertly engineered to help prolong the life and maintain the efficiency of emission systems in both diesel and gasoline-powered automobiles.

Approved for 2010 and later General Motors engines

Mobil 1 ESP Formula 0W-40 motor oil has the General Motors Service Fill dexos2™ approval, which is required for all 2010 and later new GM/Opel/Vauxhall/Chevrolet Diesel and Gasoline models. GM/Opel have advised that dexos2 specification is backward-compatible to older GM/Opel specifications (GM-LL-A-025 and GM-LL-B-025). The majority of GM/Opel/Vauxhall/Chevrolet diesel and gasoline vehicles can use dexos2 lubricants. It is not recommended for two-cycle or aviation engines unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.

Especially suitable for extreme conditions

Mobil 1 ESP Formula 0W-40 motor oil has excellent capabilities in low temperatures, where conventional oil may not perform. Its quick cold-weather starting and ultra-fast protection can help extend engine life. It can also help:

  • Reduce particulate buildup in diesel particulate filters
  • Reduce poisoning of gasoline catalytic converters
  • Reduce deposits and sludge buildup to enable long and clean engine life
  • Reduce oil aging, allowing extended drain interval protection
  • Generate less hydrocarbon pollution
  • Aid fuel economy
We stand behind our products

Please read our Mobil 1™ limited warranty. Always check your owner’s manual for the manufacturer’s recommended oil viscosity grade, API service classification and any builder approval. Please refer to the Mobil 1™ Product Guide for a quick look at key manufacturer approvals and info on the zinc and phosphorus levels in Mobil 1 ESP Formula 0W-40 motor oil.

If your vehicle is covered by a warranty, follow the vehicle’s oil-life sensor or the oil-change interval recommended in your owner's manual. Proper maintenance practices, including frequently checking the oil level to ensure the appropriate amount of oil is present, are required to ensure effective performance.

FAQs

Mobil 1™ ESP Formula 0W-40 is the first and only dexos™ approved motor oil developed specifically for Chevrolet Corvettes. It is recommended for all C7 Corvettes* for both track and street use.

*Note the C7 ZR-1 uses Mobil 1™ 15W-50 on the track.

Oil change intervals can be as short as 3,000 miles or as long as 15,000 miles on some new cars. We recommend that you follow the oil and filter change frequencies shown in your owner's manual, especially during the warranty period. With the high‐performance reserves of Mobil 1, you can have the confidence to go the full mileage or time frame recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. Mobil 1 is especially suitable for the latest vehicles with extended drain intervals or vehicles with oil monitoring systems that vary oil drain intervals. To fulfill the requirements of the Mobil 1 limited warranty, Mobil 1 motor oil must be changed at least every 10,000 miles or your vehicle’s OEM recommended oil change interval, whichever is longer.

With the exception of the Mazda rotary engine (Mazda does not recommend any synthetic oils), Mobil 1 will not void new‐car warranties where an American Petroleum Institute (API) certified oil is recommended. Mobil 1 meets or exceeds API and International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) motor oil service requirements of all new‐car manufacturers, both import and domestic. If in doubt, always check your vehicle owner's manual or contact the vehicle manufacturer.
