Applications

• Mobil 1 motor oils are recommended by ExxonMobil for all types ofmodern gasoline-powered vehicles, including high-performance turbocharged, supercharged, multi-valve fuel injected engines found inpassenger cars, SUVs, light vans and light trucks.

• Mobil 1 is not recommended for 2-Cycle or aviation engines, unlessspecifically approved by the manufacturer.

• If your vehicle is covered by a warranty, follow the vehicle's oillife sensor or the oil change interval recommended in your owner'smanual. Proper maintenance practices, including frequently checking theoil level to ensure that the appropriate amount of oil is present, arerequired to ensure effective performance.

• Always check your owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommendedoil viscosity grade, API service classification and any builderapproval.

FAQs

Will the use of Mobil 1™ void my new car warranty?

With the exception of the Mazda rotary engine (Mazda does not recommend any synthetic oils), Mobil 1 will not void new‐car warranties where an American Petroleum Institute (API) certified oil is recommended. Mobil 1 meets or exceeds API and International Lubricant Standardization and Approval Committee (ILSAC) motor oil service requirements of all new‐car manufacturers, both import and domestic. If in doubt, always check your vehicle owner's manual or contact the vehicle manufacturer.

Why do you recommend Mobil 1™ Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-20 as an alternative to 5W-20 when my car manufacturer recommends 5W-20?

Mobil 1™ 0W‐20 Advanced Fuel Economy meets or exceeds many new car warranty requirements where SAE 0W‐20 or 5W‐20 oil is recommended. Mobil 1™ 0W‐20 Advanced Fuel Economy provides the high temperature protection of 5W‐20 oils while offering improved fuel economy. As a result, many consumers can benefit from improved fuel economy while obtaining outstanding engine protection for their vehicle. Mobil 1™ 0W‐20 Advanced Fuel Economy should only be used in vehicles designed to operate on either 0W‐20 or 5W‐20 motor oil.

If the manufacturer of my car recommends a 5W-20 motor oil, will I void my warranty if I use Mobil 1™ Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-20 instead?

If your car manufacturer recommends a SAE 5W‐20 ILSAC oil, we recommend either Mobil 1™ 5W‐20 or Mobil 1™ 0W‐20 Advanced Fuel Economy. Mobil 1™ 0W‐20 Advanced Fuel Economy will not void new‐car warranties where an SAE 5W‐20 oil is recommended. Mobil 1™ 0W‐20 Advanced Fuel Economy can provide better fuel economy and better low‐temperature performance than higher viscosity oils.

I jumped through all of your hoops to get the 10 dollar rebate on each jug. Funny, got one and not the other using the same receipt. You got to make this an easier process.
