Mobil 1™ Truck & SUV motor oils are designed for gasoline-powered trucks and SUVs and are recommended by ExxonMobil for all types of modern gasoline-powered vehicles, including high-performance turbocharged, supercharged, multi-valve fuel injected engines found in passenger cars, SUVs, light vans and light trucks.

• Mobil 1 Truck & SUV is not recommended for 2-Cycle or aviation engines, unless specifically approved by the manufacturer.

I have been using synthetic oil in my truck for years with no problems. Why should I switch to new Mobil 1™ Truck & SUV motor oil?

If you have had good results with your current oil, we can understand why you may be reluctant to switch motor oil. However, now there is an oil, Mobil 1 Truck & SUV advanced full synthetic motor oil, that is specially formulated for truck and SUV engines with 10 percent more sludge‐fighting additive* to provide outstanding performance and protection in normal and more severe driving conditions, such as towing and hauling. All engines generate heat, but hardworking engines can generate additional heat, which can result in oil breakdown, excessive oil consumption (burn‐off) or even engine failure.

No, Mobil 1 Truck & SUV advanced full synthetic motor oil is designed to maximize performance and provide outstanding protection in all gasoline‐powered, light‐duty trucks and SUVs. Drivers can be assured that their engine is protected during normal and more severe conditions, such as towing and hauling. All engines generate heat, but hardworking engines can generate additional heat, which can result in oil breakdown, excessive oil consumption (burn‐off) or even engine failure.

Wasn’t there a Mobil 1™ Truck & SUV motor oil available years ago? Is this the same formulation as the previous Mobil 1 Truck & SUV motor oil?

Our previously formulated Mobil 1 Truck & SUV motor oil was available for several years starting in 2006. The recently formulated Mobil 1 Truck & SUV motor oil is a modified formulation, containing 10 percent more sludge‐fighting additive,* and provides outstanding performance and protection in normal and more severe driving conditions, such as towing and hauling. Performance has been proven in a 120,000‐mile test, which included more than 50,000 miles of simulated towing of a 5,000‐pound load.
